Welcome to Sangat Academy of Sciences ("Sangat Academy," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users of our mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By downloading or using the Sangat Academy app, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

2. About the App

Sangat Academy of Sciences is a free educational reading application that provides users access to:

  • Balochi and Urdu-language books across various academic and cultural categories
  • Digital magazines published by Sangat Academy
  • A PDF viewer for reading books online or downloading them for offline use
  • Search functionality to find books and magazines
  • A Favorites feature to save preferred content

The App is designed for readers of all ages who wish to access educational content in the Balochi and Urdu languages.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identification information
  • Account registration details (the App has no login or sign-up)
  • Payment or financial information
  • Precise location data or GPS information
  • Contacts, camera, or microphone data
  • Biometric data of any kind

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

The App and our third-party service providers may automatically collect limited non-personal technical information, including:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version and crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
  • General usage analytics, such as which sections are visited (via Firebase Analytics)
  • Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID) and ad interaction data, such as impressions and clicks (via Google AdMob)
  • Approximate location derived from IP address, used only by Google AdMob for general ad relevance — not collected or stored by us directly

This information is collected in an aggregated, non-personally-identifiable form.

3.3 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

  • Books and magazines you mark as Favorites
  • PDF files you download for offline reading (stored in your device's Downloads folder)
  • Your reading history and recently viewed books

4. How We Use Collected Information

The limited non-personal information collected is used solely for the following purposes:

  • To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free availability of the App
  • To monitor App performance, fix bugs, and improve stability
  • To understand general usage patterns and improve the App's content and features
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy and data practices:

5.1 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

5.2 Google Firebase

We use Firebase services for app analytics and crash reporting. Firebase collects aggregated, anonymized usage data.

5.3 Firebase Realtime Database

Book content, magazine data, and app configuration (such as image sliders and category lists) are fetched from Google Firebase Realtime Database. No personal user data is stored in our database.

6. Advertising

Sangat Academy is a free app supported by advertising revenue. We display two types of ads:

  • Banner Ads — displayed at the top of certain screens
  • Interstitial Ads — displayed as full-screen ads when a user taps Download or Read Online buttons (shown at most every 5 interactions)

Ads are served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers, and your general location (derived from IP address) to serve relevant ads. We do not control the content of ads served by AdMob.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom will be shown a consent request within the App before any personalized advertising is served, in accordance with Google's EU User Consent Policy. You may change your consent choice at any time from within the App's settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Sangat Academy of Sciences offers educational content appropriate for a general audience, including younger readers accompanied by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

  • The App does not require any registration or account creation
  • No personal data of any kind is collected from or stored about any user, including children
  • If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the email address below and we will take steps to remove such information

We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy. If the App's audience designation on Google Play changes to be primarily directed at children, we will update our advertising configuration and this policy accordingly.

8. Data Security

We take the security of data seriously. The following measures are in place:

  • All communication between the App and Firebase servers uses HTTPS encryption
  • No personal user data is stored on our servers
  • Locally stored data (favorites, downloads, reading history) remains on your device and under your control
  • Downloaded PDF files are stored in your device's public Downloads folder and can be deleted by you at any time

While we implement reasonable security measures, please be aware that no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

9. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data for us to retain or delete on our end.

Locally stored data on your device (favorites, downloaded PDFs, reading history) is retained until you:

  • Manually delete downloaded files from your Downloads folder
  • Clear the App's data through your device's App Settings
  • Uninstall the App

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right to Access — the right to know what data is held about you
  • Right to Deletion — the right to request deletion of your data
  • Right to Opt-Out — the right to opt out of personalized advertising
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

Since we do not collect or store personal information, most of these rights are satisfied by default. For advertising opt-out, please follow the steps described in Section 6.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and California (USA) may have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, respectively. Please contact us if you have specific requests.

11. App Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions:

ACCESS_DOWNLOAD_MANAGER Required to manage and track the progress of PDF downloads initiated from within the App

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or any other sensitive permissions.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the App's features, or legal requirements. When we make changes:

  • The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy will be revised
  • For significant changes, we will notify users through an in-app notice
  • Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
